TEHRAN (IQNA) – A charity society launched a Quran memorization center for girls at a ceremony in Kyrgyzstan on Saturday.

The Safa Charity and Humanitarian Society, which is based in the United Arab Emirates, has launched the center, according to Al-Ray website.

It also launched an education and vocational training complex for Kyrgyz girls at the ceremony.

Muhammad al-Shayi, head of the society’s administrative council, said the event that such centers as those inaugurated at the event were for training youths and helping them to tread on the right path and make progress in life.

The Emirati charity society has also launched a mosque, a school, a bakery and a water distribution network in Kyrgyzstan over the past month.

Kyrgyzstan is a landlocked country with mountainous terrain in Central Asia. It is bordered by Kazakhstan to the north, Uzbekistan to the west and southwest, Tajikistan to the southwest and China to the east. Its capital and largest city is Bishkek.

Official sources estimate that 80 percent of the country’s population is Muslim.
